A Dragon Baby Bonus with Feng Shui

Trying for a Dragon Baby Anyone?
This article provides an additional option for couples who are well-prepared and long looking forward for a child, especially a Dragon baby in 2012. This option engages a little help from Feng Shui principle to share the Where and the When for action with the intent to improve the success rate.

In Xuan Kong Feng Shui Classic (玄空秘旨), there is a clause: "木見火而生聰明奇士". This can be translated as “When Wood meets Fire, it produces intelligent people”. This does not means that we need to gather wood and burn it in order to produce smart children. In Feng Shui context, this can be explained as body of life energies or Qi; in this case referring to Wood Qi and Fire Qi. Wood can relate to 震卦 (Zhen Gua) and 巽卦 (Xun Gua) representing numbers 3 and 4 and they can also refer to the eldest son and the eldest daughter respectively. Fire can relate to 离卦 (Li Gua) representing number 9 and also refers to Happy Events and New Beginning. When both of these energies reside in the same sector and at the same time, then it could conform to the Classic as mentioned earlier.

Based on Xuan Kong Flying Star, one can ascertain where and when these wood and fire energies exist in which sector(s) of the house and at what time.

For those who are prepared for a child this year, then their activities are needed to be realized in the next few months in order to anticipate a newcomer to the family. In Feng Shui and with the above expectation, it would be best to engage the Flying Star principle to ascertain where these energies are residing in the house. The dynamics of the Annual, Monthly and Daily Flying Stars will best be suitable for this purpose. The combinations can be 9-3 or 9-4 which conforms to the wood-fire interactions (木火通明) either between the Annual and Monthly Stars, Annual and Daily Stars or the Monthly and Daily Stars.

If the bedrooms are located in these sectors, then all you need to do is to action; i.e. do your “usual productive activity” there. If these sectors are not where your bedrooms are located; it may be your living room or your dining area, don’t be despair, just be creative and follow the Nike’s slogan: ‘Just Do it’. I must put a disclaimer that there is no guarantee of a success as it also involves other factors, but the intent is to engage a little help from Feng Shui principle to improve the success rate. After all, there is nothing to loss for trying, but a little effort is all you need to ascertain the Flying Star Charts in these few months.

Until now, for those who are still not so sure and feel that it is a little difficult to digest so far, I have listed out a few dates and the sector(s) of the house where the couples would like to share their private times together.
These dates have the 9-3 or 9-4 combinations, which conform to the wood-fire interactions
either between the Annual and the Daily Stars or the Monthly and Daily Stars

Below are 2 illustrations on how can we make use of the details in the above table.

Illustration #1:
On the 8 Feb 2012, the Northeast sector of the house is one of the preferred areas for the couples. The South sector is the other preferred area.
An illustration of the 9-3 combination, which conforms to the wood-fire interactions
where the Annual 9 star and the Daily 3 Star meets.
An illustration of the 9-4 combination, which conforms to the wood-fire interactions
where the Monthly 9 star and the Daily 4 Star meets.

Illustration #2:
On the 2 Feb 2012, the Southwest sector of the house is the preferred area for the couples.
An illustration of the 3-9 combinations, which conforms to the wood-fire interactions
where the Monthly 3 star and the Daily 9 Star meets.

The above list shows just a few Dates and it is not exhaustive. For those who are learned in Feng Shui, you can prepare your own list with the Flying Stars. To prepare for a newborn in the 2012 Dragon year, you could still try and realise in the next few months, probably till end of April 2012 and with a little luck, in the beginning of May 2012. As the above-mentioned recommendation provides an additional option, it would only compliment and improve the success rate in whatever you are doing right now. If there is no action, then nothing helps. Do you agree?

There is a popular saying that my teacher always mention: “Don’t be influence with what you cannot do, affects what you can do”. So if the couples are prepared and long anticipating a child, but the suggested when and where are just not in favour to both of you, then don’t wait; just adopt the Nike’s slogan and do your “usual productive activity”.

For those who are interested to know more about the preferred Dates and Sectors in the next few months; i.e. February, March and April 2012, for Dragon Baby anticipation, you can email me for more details.

Good Luck and Success!

Do you want a Good Start in the New Year?

The Chinese Almanac (Tong Shu) showing the
First Day of Lunar New Year on the 23 Jan 2012

The Chinese New year is just around the corner. And as in Chinese culture, anyone and everyone especially the Business owners would always want a good start, hoping for a more prosperous and "smoother" year ahead. Hence, selecting an auspicious date is important and essential when reopening businesses for the new year.

The following dates are for those who want to commence work on an Auspicious Date and they are as follow:

1. Best Date is as follows:
Date: 30 Jan 2012, Mon.
Time:
7am - 9am
This date and time are suitable for all people, but unfavourable for people who born in the Year of the Monkey - 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992.

2. The next Better Dates will be as follows:

Date: 27 Jan 2012, Fri.
Time: 7am - 9am
This date and time are suitable for all people, but unfavourable for people who born in the Year of the Snake - 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989.

Date: 25 Jan 2012, Wed
Time:
7am – 9am
This date and time are suitable for all people, but unfavourable for people who born in the Year of the Rabbit - 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999.

These Dates as mentioned above are also auspicious days recommended
by Dong Gong Date Selection Principle (董公择日法), which is also usually found in the Traditional Chinese Tong Shu.

The Tong Shu showing the Good Dates for Reopening of Businesses or Commences of Work

For those who need a little more boost from assistance or nobleman (贵人) help, then you might consider qualifying the date with the Nobleman uprising to Heaven principle (貴人登天吉). This is another Date Selection method that could ascertain good dates to foster noblemen or mentor help.

For example, in 25 Jan 2012, one could commence work on 3 – 5 am (), and for 27 Jan 2012, starts on 9 – 11 pm (亥时). Conforming to these times would help to improve noblemen and mentor luck. Sometimes, these timing are rather odd as they are either too early in the morning or late at night. These may be applicable to some trades, like those businesses that operate in the night, such as Night Traders on Stocks, Shares or Forex in the US Market, etc. But if this is too much of a chore, then just follow the morning timing as shown above, which is from 7 – 9 am.

For those who want to harness the Wealth Qi (财气) on the first day of Chinese New Year, the time is 12 – 1 am, facing towards South. Be Mindful that the Year of the Water Dragon starts only on 4 Feb 2012 on the Start of Spring (立春).

Wishing Everyone A
Happy and Prosperous
Lunar New Year !!!
A Chinese New Year Greeting

Selecting a Good Property – Enhancing Wealth and Good Fortune from the Environment

The Vanderlint @ Ceylon Road
The article in this series serves as an example to assist homebuyers to qualify for a good investment property or properties that could enjoy good Feng Shui and good Return on Investment or ROI with a mean to hedge against inflation. It also acts as an illustration to share the knowledge of Classical Feng Shui principles that could be used to assess a good property as your dream home. This is based on the recent The Vanderlint @ Ceylon Road, a Freehold Development in the East.

The Vanderlint is a Northeast facing apartment comprising of a small community of 20 residential units in landed enclave. In Feng Shui perspective, it can be defined as a Kun Property (坤宅), which is like a big house with 20 exclusive rooms.

The Vanderlint, a Northeast facing
Freehold Residential Apartment
in the East.
As the cross-junction between Dunman Road and Ceylon Road situated in the Northwest serves as the Qi Mouth (气口) which is the entrance to this site, the incoming road could be ushering the Greedy Wolf water (贪狼水) to the site. This formatiom would very much conform to the Assistant Star Transformation Water Method (辅星水法).

With the apartment facing the Northeast, and the incoming road from the Northwest ushering prosperous Qi to the site, receiving this “water” will improve people luck, enhancing ones wisdom as well as wealth creation and good fortune.

Generally, the residents in this location could be enjoying good Feng Shui which also explains why the neighbourhood is surrounded with many top reputable schools, like CHIJ, Tao Nan, Haig Girls, Chung Cheng High, Tanjong Katong, .. and blessed with numerous landed properties as well as similar residential developments like those of The Vanderlint in the vicinity.

This site is best suitable for people who are looking for a good-value property as their cosy home or to fulfil their SOHO-lifestyle, or as an investment with High Capital Appreciation and Superb Rental Yield.

With the lower ground on the right of the site in the East and neighbouring building on the left in the Northwest and West, this conforms to the Direct and Indirect Spirits (大零正) Feng Shui principle which will further indicate that the site will be timely and prosperous till 2043.

Nothing is perfect as there are always some better units than the others within any residential site. The Vanderlint is no different. Hence, potential homebuyers should identify which units, and in which floors are the better ones that the residents could benefit the most from the surrounding environment, and enjoy good Feng Shui.

Selecting a Good Property – Harnessing the Prosperous Qi from the Waterway.

Waterway Bank and Waterway Ridges @ Punggol,
a new BTO residential development in the Northeast.
This is based on the recent Waterway Bank and Waterway Ridges @ Punggol, a new Build-to-Order housing development in the Northeast.

An aerial sitemap of the southwest facing Waterway Bank and Waterway Ridges @ Punggol
with the Waterway passing by in front of them from the Southeast direction.
Generally both the Waterway Bank and Waterway Ridges are southwest facing, with the incoming waterway entering and passing in front of both sites from the Southeast direction. As such the sites could be receiving Huge Door water (巨门水) or Military Arts water (武曲水). In Feng Shui context, these are prosperous water deriving from San-He Water Assessment principle (三合水法), ushering good Qi or life energy to these sites. Receiving these waters will empower good people luck, like good health, relationship and longevity to the resident, as well as wealth creation opportunities.

In addition, there are “common green” areas which act as Bright Hall in the southwest sector to receive and collect the Qi from the incoming water, and is beneficial to the residents.

Incoming water is flowing from SE towards the Waterway Bank and Waterway Ridges
Residential site which have Common Green areas as bright hall to receive and collect the Qi.
With reference to both the site plans, it also observes that the Waterway Bank has more 4-rm units facing the waterway while the Waterway Ridges has 5-rm units instead. Although both sites could conform to good Feng Shui principles, but there are always better units within these housing sites and of course units that need to be avoided, as they don’t conform to the principles. In additional, should the homebuyers have an intent to select units facing the waterway, be mindful that not all units facing the Waterway enjoy good Feng Shui. Therefore, be more prudent in your selection.

Alternatively, you might consider engaging a Feng Shui service in the Selection process or to further enhance and benefit from the Waterway for Good Fortune and Wealth opportunities with the Property Consultation when you have moved into your New Home in a few years time.
