What’s your neighbourhood facing?

Every building or property has a facing, and so does land. By knowing the facing of the land and the source of life energy or Qi receiving from its environment, these provide an indicative assessment of the Feng Shui quality of the area, determining whether properties that sit on this land are receiving relatively positive energy needed to help its occupants to achieve a positive outcome in their life endeavors.

'By knowing the facing of the land and the source of life energy or Qi receiving for its environment, these provide an indicative assessment of the Feng Shui quality of this area ...'

Qualifying the land facing and its source of energy can be ascertained by various Feng Shui principles, and one specific technique is by Qi Men Dun Jia (奇门遁甲).

Generally, the source of energy is usually referring to Water and its presence are preferred within the close vicinity of the property. Should water is not seen in the environment, then roads, streets or highways could be considered as virtual water.

The following examples illustrate how it is seen in this development.

Example #1:
Using Clementi Northarc at Clementi as an illustration, the residential development could be facing North with incoming water passing by the facade of the development from the East from the lens of Qi Men Feng Shui. This indicates the area could be receiving positive energy from the incoming water, supporting the life endeavors of the residents, especially in the area of opportunities creation, and a place call home.

Example #2:
Using Rivervale Shores at Sengkang as an illustration, the South facing residential development could be receiving positive energy from the incoming water from the West or Southwest, giving a good indication that the Feng Shui quality of this area is relatively auspicious for opportunities and perhaps knowledge seekers based on Qi Men Feng Shui.
