The Hidden Impact of Wind Gap on Home Comfort

Wind Gap between 2 buildings

With many new property launches recently, some residential buildings are being built very close to each other. In some cases, the distance between buildings is so small that they are just a short step away.

If you look out from your home’s main door, windows, or balcony and see a narrow gap between two nearby buildings, this gap might create what Feng Shui calls negative Sha Qi (unfavorable energy). This happens because the gap can act like a wind tunnel, allowing strong winds to rush through, which may create discomfort for the people living there.

"Closing the Gap, Calming the Winds: Embrace Harmonious Living, Minimize Discomfort."

Whether you’re buying a home for investment or to live in, such conditions could affect your family’s well-being and financial stability.

For example, if Unit A faces a wind gap between Buildings B and C, this Sha Qi could harm the health of the occupants. If the gap is located in the South, it may especially affect the middle daughter or middle-aged woman in the home. This could result in health issues related to the heart or eyes, particularly in the Year of the Horse or the month of June.

If the wind gap is in the Southwest, it could negatively impact the mother or elderly women in the household. The direction of the wind gap can influence which family member might be most affected.

To reduce the negative effects of a wind gap, you could take steps to improve the surroundings:
  • Trees or greenery: If there are trees or landscaping in the area of the gap, these can act as a natural shield to block strong winds.
  • Durable materials: Using stronger building materials in areas exposed to wind can create a more comfortable and secure home environment.

An Untold Story of Serangoon North Vista

Your home's Feng Shui quality is closely intertwined with its external surroundings, accounting for a remarkable 70% of its overall harmony and prosperity.

Siteplan of Serangoon North Vista

Exploring the Serangoon North Vista Site Plan, we find that the incoming road from the Northwest bestows residents with the incredible blessings of good health and enriched interpersonal connections. However, this Feng Shui advantage isn't universal, and not all residents get to enjoy these benefits.

Both Units A & B have the same orientation facing Southwest

Take, for instance, the Period 9 Southwest-facing homes at Serangoon North Vista, such as Units A and B. Though they share the same 4-room layout and orientation towards the picturesque landed enclave, their fates take distinctly different paths.

Both Units A and B are conveniently situated near the development's main entrance/exit, but their Feng Shui destinies diverge significantly. Unfortunately, Unit B encounters a less favorable alignment, running afoul of the Eight Killing Force's environmental affliction. This misalignment could potentially bring about injuries, health issues, and financial setbacks.

Beware of Complacency towards Normalcy in 2022

In Chinese Metaphysics, every year there is an image representing a "general feeling" of the year would-be happenings, usually known as an Annual Hexagram.

An image of Raining over an erupting Volcano

Last year the image is a Beautiful Sunset view overlooking the Hill or Mountain, which is represented by the Beauty (山火贲)  Hexagram, indicating a sign of respite from the difficulties that were encountered in 2020 when the unprecedented pandemic started.

In 2022, its annual hexagram is Accomplished (水火既济). This represents a completion of a successful accomplishment. The image is comprised of water over fire, like Raining over an erupting Volcano

"Be more Vigilant against Complacency towards Normalcy"

Although a sign seems under control where many are looking forward to a more stable and normal life after the past 2 years of chaotic times, it is important to take precautions, for when fortune is at its peak, signs of decline will appear.

The 2022 image also warns us against complacency not only to better take care of our well-being but also from the financial perspective. Therefore, we should be careful as we are still not out of the woods yet.

To find out how you can unleash the strength that could uplift your Life Goals, or perhaps negate or at least reduce the challenges and changes that you might face in 2022, perhaps a consult can offer you to navigate through a smoother path in the upcoming uncharted waters.

What to watch out if Landed is your Dream Home?

Landed enclave with bountiful of residential homes

There is a Chinese Saying: 有地就有黄金. It literally means that if you have land, you will have gold. In Feng Shui perspective, when your house is well located in a good external environment, you and your loved ones staying in this house can benefit from it completing and not sharing with others, as you own the land and is "solely dedicated” to you and your loved ones.

Hence, for the landed houses, the good and bad endeavors owing to Feng Shui will be more prominent when compared to a condominium or apartment sitting on the same piece of land.

If you are looking for a landed house as your dream home, you might want to know what are the negative features or forms that need caution.

As landed houses are usually low-rise; about 2-4 storeys tall, they could be exposed to more negative forms; such as lampposts, trees outside their houses. In a landed enclave where houses are generally terraces, semi-detached, cluster houses, etc, their roofs could be seen just outside the windows. These are commonly known as Xing-Sha (形煞).

For example.
The roofs sticking out behind the blue installation could be creating a Peeking Tom Sha (探头煞) which may lead to wealth loss.

Overlooking the roofs of other houses for afar

In addition, incoming roads, road exits, and junctions could also be part of the Feng Shui equation as positive or negative forms. These can be a catalyst to improve your wealth and career luck or otherwise.

House facing a T-junction Road

Generally, the negativity could affect the well-being and wealth opportunities of the residents depending on the severities where it could be further aggravated by the annual afflictions, such as the Grand Duke (Tai-Sui 太岁), Three Killings Sha (
三煞) or Five Yellow Sha (五黄煞). This is more destructive especially there are huge construction works in your vicinities.

Massive construction works that can progress over many years

Generally, a mix of different Feng Shui techniques could be engaged in a
ssessing the quality of landed properties when compared to assessing apartments or condominiums, as the emphasis of analysis varies.

For example, if the Feng Shui setup of the house is more auspicious to have the main door align in a specific direction, prepare a couple of degrees to the right, then landed homes can have the flexibility to make such adjustments, and not for an apartment.

If you are building your own house ground up, you will have the flexibility to construct your house with a layout that is not only able to optimize harnessing the natural positive energies in the environment but also able to support your life endeavors and business goals, etc.

Your Home with the Heavenly Water

A North-South facing Homes at Kovan Wellspring

Recently in the last HDB's sales exercise, much bigger size Build-To-Order (BTO) flats in the non-mature estates of Hougang were more oversubscribed, with a rate of 1 in more than 24 applicants for each available 4-room unit as published on their website, and one of the most well-received developments in Hougang is Kovan Wellspring.

Incoming Road from the Northwest denotes Wealth aspects

Using Kovan Wellspring as an illustration, besides being in the neighbourhood to many Public and Private residences, such as Stars at Kovan, Kovan Residences, it is also well located in close proximity to essential amenities, like Heartland mall, market and foods center, and most importantly the nearby Kovan MRT station.

Under the lens of Feng Shui, the North-facing units in this development, especially those along the Tampines Road, could be blessed with better wealth, financial matters, and general prosperity, owing to the incoming road from the Northwest.

Incoming Road from the West denotes People Matters

On the other side of the development, those South-facing units overlooking the Heartland mall, Market, and Food center, could perhaps enjoy better people matters, well-being, health, and relationships. This will only be possible if a new road is opened between the development and the neighborhood amenities.

A word of caution. The cross-junction in the northwest of the development where Simon Road, Upper Serangoon Road, and Tampines Road meets, can also be a negative feature to some of these units as it could violate the environmental affliction of the 8 Killings Force(八煞黄泉), so beware.

Kovan Wellspring with its North facing Homes overlooking Tampines Road

It can be confusing as on one hand, the incoming road from the Northwest can bring more wealth opportunities to those residents in the North facing homes, and yet it could be violating the environmental affliction of the 8 Killings Force. This is possible as, for example, one can strike rich, but at the same time also fall sick.

The good news is that not all will be affected by the affliction. So if you are choosing the North-facing homes along Tampines Road in this development, be aware of the external features in the Northwest direction, and choose those units that do not violate this negative affliction.

Your Nightmare begins with the Disturbed Afflictions

A Northeast facing Home with the Annual Afflictions and Monthly Stars Chart

Recently, a close client of mine was feeling rather frustrated and disappointed that one of her colleagues and also a close friend for many years had betrayed her, snatching her client by sealing a property deal that she was about to close, behind her back unethically. She was asking what had gone wrong, and what could be done to undo the situation.

"Your Nightmare begins when the Annual Afflictions are disturbed!"

I've performed an onsite assessment and observed that the study room that she usually used for her work is in the Northeast sector of her home, and currently there is massive construction work outside her study room.

As the incident occurred in the month of July, based on the Xuan Kong Monthly flying star, star #3 also resided in the Northeast sector as well.

Through this observation, she might have violated the annual negative affliction of the Grand Duke or Tai Sui (太岁) this  year, coupled with Star #3 which governs conflicts, litigation, and disputes, hence the bad endeavor she might have encountered.

Besides the above-mentioned, this can happen to other incidents relating to the loss of wealth.
The 4 Annual Affliction in 2021

Although the Monthly Star #3 is just transitional energy in the Northeast for the month of July, the annual affliction can be pretty much active and last for the entire year.

A remedial cure was implemented to negate or at least reduce the negative impact of the Grand Duke on the home, and also suggested recommendations to deal with the incident.

If you are also encountering similar problems as mentioned above or recurring problems that are affecting one or more occupants within the home, you might want to seek professional Feng Shui advice, or perhaps I can help.

Is your Home Ambush with Poison Arrows?

I've always been asked by many is that "What if there is no water and/or mountain or hill near their home, does it mean that they are not blessed with good fortune relating to Feng Shui?"

The answer is a "No".

Watch out for Poison Arrows to your Home

"Sometimes avoiding these Poison Arrows can be enjoying Good Feng Shui too!"

Using the site plan of these residential developments as illustrations, observe the Red arrows. These can be potential "poison arrows" or negative energy paths directed towards the units.
Siteplan of Residential Development with Poison Arrows

Generally, if an individual has disturbed or violated the negative energy or commonly known as
Sha Qi (煞气), it will be detrimental and disastrous relating to wealth and health, especially with the more dangerous environmental negative energy of the Eight Killings Force (八煞黄泉).

Negative energies can be directed from your nearby buildings, especially if there is a wind gap between 2 buildings or its building edge directed to your property, which is commonly seen in development where its buildings are densely built to each other. The commonly known Sha-Qi will be the Building Edge Sha (壁刀煞) and Wind-Gap or Sky Crack Sha (天斩煞)Busy road Junctions, whether it is Cross or T-junction could also be the cause. So beware.

Commonly seen Negative Forms

As more properties are built in the North and South orientations, let has an example of how these negative energies(Sha Qi) could impact a North-facing Home.
Observed the impact of the Building edge on Unit B and C from the Siteplan

Based on the Eight Killings Force principle, for a North-facing home, we don't want to "see" negative forms or features in the Northwest, as the home could have violated this killing force. Observed that the building edge of Unit A is pointing to North facing Unit B from the Northwest direction. This may bring about health problems, like diseases relating to the Head and Lung, affecting the Man of the house, the Husband, or the elderly senior.

As for a South-facing home, avoid having negative forms or features in the Southeast. In this case, the edge of Unit D is directed to the South facing Unit C from the Southeast direction. This could denote that the eldest daughter of the residence will be more prone to sickness relating to her thigh, intestinal issues, especially happening in the year of the snake and dragon, and perhaps also in the month of April and May.

If you are in the midst of choosing your next dream home, perhaps you may want to give these properties a miss.

Besides the North and South facing houses, more details about the 8 Killings force with other orientations are mentioned in my Youtube Video.

The Road to Recovery or a Respite in 2021

A beautiful Sunset view, or fireworks from the Mountain

In Chinese Metaphysics, every year there is an image representing a "general feeling" of the year would-be happenings, usually known as an Annual Hexagram.

Last year the image which denotes "Fire is covered by Earth(地火明夷)leads to the keyword, Darkness. This could also denote sickness, which coincidentally leading to the unprecedented pandemic.

This year in 2021 which is the year of the Metal Ox, the image representing this is the Beauty Hexagram (山火贲) which can denote by a "Beautiful Sunset view, or Celebrating Fireworks" overlooking from the Hill or Mountain. Indeed a better image than last year.

This beautiful picture comes with a hidden message. A sunset view or firework can be beautiful, but that does not last forever as darkness will come after that.

The Beauty Hexagram could indicate a respite from the difficulties that were encountered last year.

Let's reflect on the recent happenings around the world.

Many people are hopeful for a better year ahead, especially with the arrival of vaccines, which start rolling out to many parts of the world, showing some light towards a road of recovery.

However, while many economies are trying to reopen their borders, many are still struggling with movement restrictions, lockdowns, etc, providing a signal showing that although life is gradually going back to the normal, or new normal rather, we should be more cautious as it seems that we are still not out of the woods yet. So beware.

This Beauty hexagram would suggest that if you are setting any life goals this year, it will be preferred to have them realized as soon, and not linger till the end of the year.

If you are in the crossroad right now and need a clearer life compass to maximize your career and business opportunities from a metaphysic perspective, check this out here for a consult to unleash your Entrepreneur Potential within. http://bit.ly/BizCraft2021

Are you Overshadowed in this Pandemic?

In Chinese Metaphysics, every year there is an image representing a "general feeling" of the year would-be happenings, usually known as an Annual Hexagram. In 2020 which is also the Metal-Rat (庚子) year, the image that symbolizes it is the Darkness (地火明夷) hexagram.

The image denotes "Fire is covered by Earth", which leads to the keyword, Darkness. In this context, Fire could refer to your Passion, Talents and with Earth covering this, it indicates that many of our life ambitions and endeavors could be overshadowed this year.

"Darkness can also mean Danger, Evil, Uncertainty where the Future is unclear."

Coincidentally this seems to be happening in the past months, many people are restrained and restricted at home, businesses closed, events canceled, and these have disrupted the vibrancy of many cities coming to a standstill and to their knees.

As the WHO has also recently warned that the pandemic is far from over, this has greatly and will be continuing impact the economy big and small, affecting our livelihood. With the much uncertainty owing to the current crisis, it will be preferred to focus on our short term plans at least for now as the situational changes are very dynamic and unclear during this period. Here we are not talking about years, but every month counts.

This Darkness hexagram would suggest that it is best to hold back important plans & decisions, lie low for the time being to consolidated and restore your energies, like picking up new skills, upgrade your knowledge, generally towards investing more effort into self-development. This can prepare us to become a better version of ourselves thriving in the new normal.

If you are in the crossroad right now and need a clearer life compass to maximize your career and business opportunities from a metaphysic perspective, check this out here for a consult: https://bit.ly/yranalysis
