Do you want a Good Start in the New Year?

The Chinese Almanac (Tong Shu) showing the
First Day of Lunar New Year on the 23 Jan 2012

The Chinese New year is just around the corner. And as in Chinese culture, anyone and everyone especially the Business owners would always want a good start, hoping for a more prosperous and "smoother" year ahead. Hence, selecting an auspicious date is important and essential when reopening businesses for the new year.

The following dates are for those who want to commence work on an Auspicious Date and they are as follow:

1. Best Date is as follows:
Date: 30 Jan 2012, Mon.
Time:
7am - 9am
This date and time are suitable for all people, but unfavourable for people who born in the Year of the Monkey - 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992.

2. The next Better Dates will be as follows:

Date: 27 Jan 2012, Fri.
Time: 7am - 9am
This date and time are suitable for all people, but unfavourable for people who born in the Year of the Snake - 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989.

Date: 25 Jan 2012, Wed
Time:
7am – 9am
This date and time are suitable for all people, but unfavourable for people who born in the Year of the Rabbit - 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999.

These Dates as mentioned above are also auspicious days recommended
by Dong Gong Date Selection Principle (董公择日法), which is also usually found in the Traditional Chinese Tong Shu.

For those who need a little more boost from assistance or nobleman (贵人) help, then you might consider qualifying the date with the Nobleman uprising to Heaven principle (貴人登天吉). This is another Date Selection method that could ascertain good dates to foster noblemen or mentor help.

For example, in 25 Jan 2012, one could commence work on 3 – 5 am (), and for 27 Jan 2012, starts on 9 – 11 pm (亥时). Conforming to these times would help to improve noblemen and mentor luck. Sometimes, these timing are rather odd as they are either too early in the morning or late at night. These may be applicable to some trades, like those businesses that operate in the night, such as Night Traders on Stocks, Shares or Forex in the US Market, etc. But if this is too much of a chore, then just follow the morning timing as shown above, which is from 7 – 9 am.

For those who want to harness the Wealth Qi (财气) on the first day of Chinese New Year, the time is 12 – 1 am, facing towards South. Be Mindful that the Year of the Water Dragon starts only on 4 Feb 2012 on the Start of Spring (立春).

Wishing Everyone A
Happy and Prosperous
Lunar New Year !!!
A Chinese New Year Greeting
